Valley Connections Counselling

Connecting in life's valleys...

Aziza Sobh, BA, MA (cand), RP (Qual.)

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Psychotherapy Intern

Youth & Adult Therapist

Aziza Sobh, Registered Psychotherapist (Qual.)

Hello, my name is Aziza Sobh (she/her) and I am a psychotherapist intern, completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I also have a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Kinesiology and Health Science and Psychology from York University.

Life can sometimes seem unbearable and it can be tough to determine what the best solution would be. Sometimes, all it takes is a chat to start! Not everyone is the same, therefore not everyone receives the same therapy. My goal is to get to know you, in order to create a nurturing and supportive environment, utilizing evidence- based therapies such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness- Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Trauma- Informed Therapy. This is also beneficial outside of the therapeutic setting, as it teaches you helpful skills that can be used in your everyday life!

I am interested in working with youth/adolescents, and adults. I have an interest in working with mood disorders (anxiety and depression), stress and life transitions. I also look forward to working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as individuals who have loved ones living with mood disorders.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing volleyball, going on hikes, eating good food, and spending time with my cat and dog!

Aziza's services may be eligible for insurance coverage under extended health benefit plans that cover the services of Registered Psychotherapists. Please note: It is your responsibility to find out from your employer and/or insurance company about the type of mental health coverage you have. Valley Connections Counselling and our therapists are not responsible for determining whether or not your insurance company will reimburse you for our services. Please find out the details of your benefits package before booking and attending your therapy sessions. Should you attend sessions and later learn that your insurance company will not cover your therapy sessions, you are responsible for paying for the fees of all attended sessions as well as any future sessions you choose to attend.

You can book a free 30 minute consultation with Aziza or call our main line at
