Hello my name is Natalie Quinn and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I hold an Honours Degree in Psychology (Hons. BA) from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University.

My approach to therapy is grounded in the mind-body connection.

I believe that to truly understand and heal the mind, we must also pay attention to the body. When we overlook the body in our healing journey, we miss an essential part of our story. The mind and body are not only meant to work in harmony, but also in balance and calm. However, trauma, stress and the demands of daily life, can cause the mind and body to become either overly activated, restless and overwhelmed or disconnected, numb and frozen. In these states, it becomes challenging to move through the world. The goal of therapy is to reconnect you with a sense of safety within both the mind and body. By connecting and regulating the mind-body system, powerful healing and change can begin.

In our work together, we’ll take a whole-person approach – tending to your inner world and physical experience. We’ll explore how your thoughts, feelings and physical sensations all interconnect and use that insight to support your healing. Cognitively this may look like building self-awareness, reframing unhelpful thought patterns, cultivating mindfulness, implementing self-compassion or dialoguing with your inner child. Physically, we’ll use breathwork, grounding, body awareness, self-havening and somatic-informed movements to help your body feel safer and more at ease.

My approach is client-centered so you don’t have to have experience with this, just a willingness to be curious. We will work at your pace. If my approach resonates with you, I look forward to meeting you where you are and supporting you on your journey.
